Manhole Cover Cork Trivet-Göteborg/Gothenburg

$25.00

Sweden’s second city, Göteborg is home to over 600,000 Swedes. Founded in 1621, this western port city was like Bremerhaven, Germany, the main exodus point for emigration. Industrialization stemmed that flow and the city have many harbor-related jobs as well as home to Volvo and Ericsson. Football, or soccer depending on where you live, is king in Gothenburg. The World Cup was hosted there in 1958 and IFK Göteborg is the most popular team in Sweden. The coat of arms found on this cover is also found on the aforementioned team’s crest. The manhole cover or brunnslock is from Furnes and features arrowheads laid out in an arcing pattern and raining down toward the pickpoint.
